THIS IS OUR STORY

Cole's Auction Service began in 1948, 53 years ago, when Argle Cole, at age 36, began to realize his dream of becoming an Auctioneer.

Argle passed away this past February, 2001 at age 89, leaving a legacy of genuine caring for people, and professionalism in his work. He used to tell about practicing in his truck while he was hauling cattle. When he first started having sales, he said big drops of swear would pop out on his head.

"In the beginning, we made up hand bills to tack up around town, and in store windows. In later years, we decided to advertise BIG TIME. At that time, I worked with another auctioneer and he would drive up and down Main Street, and I would yell into a big horn and advertise the sale that way."

"Times change, and the Auction Business has changed, too. Who would have thought our Auction Business would have a spot on the Internet, on computers around the world. Quite a ways from the way I started. I'm proud that the auction profession has come this far, and I'm proud to be part of it."

"My son, Farrell, has helped me down through the years, and our wives help, and a grand daughter Elena Jacobs, is our Cashier. Ves Parks is our right-hand/ring man. We have a good team that is keeping up with the times, and keeping our professional image we've had down through the years."

Farrell has helped his dad with the business for the past 35+ years, and is a member of the State and National Auctioneer Associations. His wife, Sharon, helps, and daughter, Elena Jacobs is Cashier. Ves Parks is the Lead Ring Man. It's a Good Team, keeping up with the times, and still keeping professionalism and caring for people the #1 Priority.
